Michal is an Executive with broad exposure to Batteries, Electronics, and Nanotechnology. Her experience spans research, innovation, commercialization, strategic alliances, and international business development. Michal is currently serving on technical committees, panels, and advisory boards. Over the past 4 years, Michal was been Better Place’s Global Head of EV Battery Technologies. Her role included directing and managing EV Battery programs, developing and implementing battery strategy, and battery related product agenda, driving strategic alliances with battery suppliers, vehicle OEMs, energy utilities, governments, academia, and others.
Prior to that, Michal was a member of research staff at Xerox PARC innovating in Electronic Materials and CleanTech related areas. The role included management of engineering teams, prototypes development, project funding, and patent applications. Before PARC Michal was a senior scientist at JDS Uniphase. Michal earned her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technion, and a PhD in Materials Science from The University of Rochester, NY. Her Ph.D. focused on Silicon Nano Structures engineered for light emitting diodes and switches. Michal’s publications are widely cited (e.g. over 1000 citations to her “Physics Review Letter” paper from 1999).
